Here is some information that we would love for you to read.

All cottages and apartments in Kläppen are owned by private individuals or companies, therefore the standard and equipment may vary slightly. Check that all fixtures are available according to lists and that this also remains when you leave the cottage or apartment. We also ask you to keep all allergy sufferers in mind and respect any smoking and pet bans.

GOOD TO KNOW
If everything is not as it should be in the cottage or if something is missing, for example porcelain, you should immediately contact the reception on +46 280-96200. Comments on the cleaning on arrival, we ask you to report directly to the cleaning department on telephone +46(0)280-96218, so that we can come up and take action immediately.However, notification must be made no later than kl. 11.00 the day after arrival to our cleaning department on +46 280-96218. In case of acute problems, such as water, electricity or heating, when the reception is closed, call +46 280-96215.

SMOKING & ANIMAL BAN
If there is a smoking and animal ban in the cottage / apartment, this must be respected. In the event of a violation, a remediation cost is based on SEK 2,500. No accommodation is allergy-free.

INTERNET
In several places you can reach our wireless network "KLAPPENGUEST". For example, Restaurant Tranan and the surrounding area, the Kläppentorget, Toppstugan and at Järpen (chairlift). If your particular cottage has this, you can see in your object description. The WiFi code usually sits on the router or on a note that the cabin owner put up.

TV
The TV offer can vary in the cottages, in case of disturbances or interruptions contact +46-280-24101.

PARKING
Park in designated areas and not on roads within the area. It is very important that this is respected as the roads must be kept passable for emergency vehicles and plows. If you have more cars than your accommodation offers parking spaces, you are directed to park in the parking lot at Älvspåret opposite Kläppentorget.

KEYS
The keys you use during your stay must be returned to us on your departure. Lost keys will be charged from SEK 2,500.

WE HAVE CALM NIGHTS ON KLÄPPEN
We want our guests to wake up rested, therefore we ask you to show extra consideration between 23.00 and 07.00. Remember not to hiss or have too much volume on the TV and music system. Noise, especially at night, as well as injury or vandalism leads to immediate eviction. In the event of a disturbance, contact our emergency service on +46 280-96215.

SJUNGARBACKENS SERVICEHUS (for you who live in Sjungarbacken.)
In the service house you will find a sauna / shower and in some of them there is a laundry room, family spa with whirlpool + sauna. See separate info for Sjungarbacken Plus service house. 

COTTAGE EQUIPMENT
Use only dishwasher detergent in the dishwasher. Hand dishwashing detergent destroys the machine. The on / off knob for the water is located on the kitchen faucet or under the sink. Make sure the knob is open. If the stove does not work, it may be because there is a child lock that is in the Off / 0 position. Take a look at the inventory list, so that everything is in place. Note that it may be that there are things in addition to the inventory list such as waffle irons. This is something that the cottage owner himself offers, you as a guest, to use. We would therefore like to inform you that this is not something that is taken care of by Kläppen's cleaning staff, but must be cleaned by you as a user.

Need extra equipment?
High chair, cot and bed linen can be rented at reception for a fee. If you rent any of this, leave it in the cottage / apartment on departure and our staff will take care of it.  If you have rented linen sets, we are grateful if you can remove these from the beds and put these together with the towels in the hall upon departure.

Sauna
If the sauna heater becomes overheated, an overheating protection is triggered. The controls on the sauna work as follows:

  • One control regulates the temperature.
  • The second knob indicates with lines 1-3 the number of hours that the sauna should be running with immediate effect.
  • The remaining line, 3-9, is a timer that starts the sauna heater after the number of hours selected.

Things to consider:

  • Heat the sauna to 70-80 degrees, higher degrees increase electricity consumption.
  • Better to bask a little further at a time, but not very often. (More than half of the energy is used for heating the sauna.)
  • Do not start the heater several hours before the sauna is to be used.
  • Immediately bast it gets hot and turn off the unit as soon as you are done
  • Reduce ventilation, open the ventilation hatch only when you are done.

NOTE! Clothes, towels and the like must not be dried on or above the sauna heater.

Feel free to use the drying cabinet, but try to be frugal
Dry the clothes in the drying cabinet, but remember not to put too much in. Also, do not lay clothes flat as the overheating protection may trip. If you need to reset the drying cabinet, turn the knob to 0, it will be reset after five minutes. 

Do you need to wash?
Several cottages have a washing machine. You can also wash at Kläppens Camping. Contact the reception for more information.

Is the heat not working properly?
The heat is regulated via the radiator or main thermostat

  • Check that the heat / elements are on.
  • Is it too hot? In Sjungarbacken (by the plug cabinet), Gusjöbyn's holiday village and Kläppens Stugby (in the living room) there are main thermostats in most houses. Lower it to about 15 degrees and ventilate gently. If there is no main thermostat then lower the heat on the elements. Do not turn off the elements! Breathe gently. Do not forget to raise the thermostat / element before your check-out.
  • Is it too cold in the cottage? In Sjungarbacken (by the plug cabinet), Gusjöbyn's holiday village and Kläppens Stugby (in the living room) there are main thermostats in most houses. Raise it to about 21 degrees. If the thermostat is set too low, the elements will not start. In the cottages / apartments that do not have a thermostat, the temperature of the elements is adjusted immediately. If it is underfloor heating, raise the thermostat, but this takes some time before you notice that it gets hot, so be patient.
  • Do not forget to raise the thermostat / element before your check-out. If you still have problems, contact reception +46(0)280-96200 

Let the shower water be enough for everyone
How long the hot water lasts depends on the capacity of the cottage's water heater. Short showers make the water last longer and also save the environment. Should the hot water run out, you can expect it to be a few hours before it is hot again.

How to make a fire in the fireplace
Before making a fire, check if there is a damper, open this in this case. Use newsprint or lighter pads as well as small, dry logs when lighting the fire. It is important to start a fire far into the firebox. Add more firewood when the fire has caught on. The hatches should be closed when burning. Should it happen that it smokes in, close the kitchen hood if it is turned on. They can also help to open the front door a little bit. When the fire has completely extinguished, you should close the damper to avoid cold collapse from the chimney (i.e. cold wind draft). Burnt out cold ash, thrown into the residual waste bins.

 


BEFORE YOU GO HOME

Before checking out, the cottage / apartment must be cleaned, follow the cleaning instructions below. Cleaning agents / materials are in the cleaning cabinet in the cottage / apartment. If you are missing something, report it to the reception Hotel Kurbits. Failure to clean is charged with a minimum of SEK 2,500. Household waste is left at landfills.

Household waste is left at the designated waste collection points. 

Key - Leave your accommodation keys at the reception. Outside reception opening hours, the keys are placed in the red key box at Hotel Kurbit's entrance. 

Code lock - On the day of departure you will receive a text message with a check-out link. Click on the link to check out.

Check-out times:
If departure cleaning is included (or if you buy for it) check-out is at 10.00 otherwise applies at. 11.00. Keys / tags are left at your check-in station. You who have a code lock leave and lock your accommodation. If you choose to go one day earlier, we are grateful if you notify the booking / reception on +46280-96200

ORDER CLEANING
If you do not want to clean yourself on departure, you can buy the service from us. To be able to take care of your cleaning, we need to have your order no later than Friday at 13.00 (when leaving on a Thursday, you can order cleaning no later than Wednesday at 13.00) With reservation for final sale.

Before departure, wash and set all crockery in place, the dishwasher can be left on, and leave the garbage at the waste station.

If you clean yourself

Scan the QR code in the cleaning cabinet to see how to clean your cottage / apartment in the best way. If you have a cottage with "Self check". Please scan the QR code and read the information on another board in your accommodation.
This applies: Comments on cleaning on arrival should be reported directly to reception. Complaints about cleaning must be received no later than 11:00 the day after arrival. The guest should take pictures of what the complaint concerns and the cabin number and email this to stad@klappen.se.

If you happen to break something in your accommodation, please report this to the reception at Hotel Kurbits.

Finally before leaving

Check out that:

  • The heat is on
  • That garbage and garbage are thrown away
  • That there is no garbage or garbage left on the terrace / balcony
  • That the balcony / patio door is locked and that the windows are closed
  • Correct curtains, tablecloths, carpets, chairs and tables, so that it looks stylish!
  • Lock the front door and carefully drive home!

  • Evacuate the property. Close doors and windows to prevent smoke and fire from spreading.
  • Call 112 and alert the rescue service, even if the evacuation alarm has been triggered.

  • Meet the rescue service and inform. NOTE! Only extinguish the fire if you deem it possible.
