Trail run

An experience for both body and soul

Kläppen's Trail Run is running close to nature, where you run along narrow tracks through the forest with the mountains as your companion all the way. It's technical, varied, and exactly as challenging as mountain running should be.

3.7 km advanced – for those who want a serious challenge

The red trail is short but tough. Here, steep slopes, crossing water streams, and classic forest running await you. Don't be fooled by the distance, as this run can be seriously felt in your legs and lungs. The start and finish are at Kläppen's camping. The trail is also available as a segment on Strava.

3.1 km medium – a great introduction to trail running

The blue trail has the same start and finish as the red one but branches off onto a gentler forest track. It is somewhat easier and perfect for those who want to try trail running for the first time or take a slightly more relaxed run in a mountain setting. This trail is also available as a Strava segment.

Good to know before you head out

Take it easy the first time you run on a new trail. The terrain is varied and anything but flat. Good shoes and focus on each step. Even on warm days, long socks or tights can be comfortable to protect your legs against twigs. Remember to drink water before, after, and preferably during the session.
