At Kläppen, there are excellent opportunities for those who enjoy fishing. Whether you prefer fly fishing, spin fishing or bait fishing, there are many spots to discover.

Around Kläppen, there are great fishing opportunities in both rivers and lakes. The Fuluälven, Görälven and Västerdalälven offer flowing waters, and to the south of Kläppen lies the Gråhedsdammen, a popular Put & Take pond. Fishing permits can be easily purchased on site or at the receptions at Kläppen's Camping.

At Kläppen Camping, you have the opportunity to try fishing with a guide. It is perfect for those who have never fished before or have tried it a few times and want to learn more.

In the area around Kläppen, there are several waterways with excellent fishing. Fuluälven, Görälven and Västerdalälven are popular examples where Arctic char and whitefish are commonly found. The fishing permits are valid for flowing waters, lakes and streams. In Sälen, there are two different fishing conservation areas. Transtrand's fishing conservation area (areas north of Kläppen) and Lima fishing association (areas south of Kläppen).

Just south of Kläppen you'll find the popular Gråhedsdammen. Here you can enjoy fishing in a convenient Put & Take pond. Fishing permits can be easily purchased digitally or on site with Swish.

Price for renting a rowing boat

200 SEK / 1.5 hours
350 SEK / 3 hours
500 SEK / full day

When you rent a rowing boat, you depart from Kläppens Camping. A life jacket is included and can be collected from the reception at Kläppens Camping. The boat must be returned at least one hour before closing.

Good to know

Life jackets are mandatory and always included when you rent a canoe, SUP or rowing boat. To secure your desired day and time, we recommend booking in advance. All equipment is rented at your own risk and the minimum age to hire a canoe is 16 years.
