Trail run

An experience for both body and soul

Kläppen's Trail Run is about running close to nature, where you traverse narrow paths through the forest with the mountain as your companion all the way. It's technical, varied, and precisely as challenging as mountain running should be.

3.7 km advanced  – for those who seek a proper challenge

The red trail is short but tough. Here, you will face steep slopes, stream crossings, and classic forest running. Don't be fooled by the distance, as this route is truly felt in both your legs and your lungs. Start and finish are at Kläppen's campsite. The trail is also available as a segment on Strava.

3.1 km medium – a great start to trail running

The blue trail shares the same start and finish as the red one but diverges onto a gentler forest path. It’s somewhat easier and perfect for those who want to try trail running for the first time or take a more relaxed run in the mountain environment. This trail is also available as a Strava segment.

Good to know before you head out

Take it easy the first time you run on a new trail. The terrain is varied and anything but flat. Good shoes and focus on each step are essential. Even on warm days, long socks or tights can be nice to protect your legs from twigs. Remember to hydrate before, after, and preferably during your run.
