Kläppen Syd

Kläppen Syd

Our goal is to create Scandinavia’s most memorable winter holiday resort for families with children. To achieve this, we have an expansion plan where the first phase is the ski area Kläppen Syd. Preparatory work has begun, and we are now awaiting the green light to start building five new slopes and a chairlift.

The first phase in our major expansion plan is called Kläppen Syd. Here we are planning five new slopes and a chairlift that will connect the area with the gondola's top station and the Falken ski area. The new slopes will have varying difficulty levels to accommodate both beginners and experienced skiers.

The project has taken longer than planned, partly due to the pandemic and new EU directives for environmental assessments. Since then, together with the municipality and the County Administrative Board, we have developed an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and conducted several nature surveys to ensure that the expansion is carried out with respect for nature.

In 2024, the latest environmental studies were completed, and now work continues with the planning programme. This is followed by reviews by relevant authorities before detailed plans are established. Our goal is for construction to start in spring 2026.

In parallel, we are planning new cabin areas and an expanded ski system where lodging, slopes and nature work in harmony. We are working step by step to grow sustainably. That said, we are ready to press the start button as soon as everything is approved.

We will continue to share updates on Kläppen Syd regularly as soon as new decisions, timelines, or steps in the process are confirmed. Our ambition is for you to always be able to follow the development and feel confident that we are building the future of Kläppen with the same care as always.
