Welcome to Mitt i Pisten
Each apartment has its own style and equipment, making your lodging unique. Here you will find information that will make your stay simpler and more comfortable. If you need help, we are close at hand and happy to assist you.
We hope you feel at home and enjoy all that Kläppen has to offer.
Good to know
Faults and issues
Contact reception if something is not working or if something is missing. If you have comments about the cleaning upon arrival, please contact us no later than 11:00 the day after arrival at tel +46 (0)280–962 18. For urgent issues when the reception is closed, contact our on-call service.
No smoking and no pets
Please respect the no smoking and no pets policy. A cleaning fee from 2,500 kronor applies for violations. The lodging is not allergy-sanitised.
Night-time - show consideration
Please show consideration between 23:00 and 07:00 so that everyone can have a peaceful stay. In case of disturbances, contact the on-call service. Disturbing behaviour may lead to immediate eviction.
WIFI and TV
You can usually find the WIFI code on or under the router. For issues, contact reception. You can also use the KLAPPENGUEST network at Hotell Kurbits, Toppstugan, and Kläppentorget. The selection of TV channels varies between lodgings.
Snow clearing and sanding
Roads, parking areas, and yards are cleared of snow by our contractors. Lodgings usually have a broom and snow shovel to keep the entrance clear of snow, please use them and return when done. In case of slippery conditions, sand can be collected from the sandboxes in the area.
Recycling
Leave food waste, paper, plastic, metal, and other types of waste at our recycling stations. Compost bags are available to collect there. Do not leave rubbish on steps or terraces as it may attract vermin. Read more about where your nearest recycling station is located.
Apartment Equipment
Kitchenware
Each apartment includes an inventory list for kitchenware. If something is missing, please contact reception.
Need extra equipment?
For renting a highchair, cot or linens, please contact reception. Upon departure, leave rented equipment in the apartment and place rented linen sets in the hallway.
Dishwasher
If the dishwasher isn't taking in water, check that the tap on the kitchen faucet is turned on (off/on).
Stove
If the stove isn't working, see if the child lock is activated (Off/0), or press in and turn the stove dial.
Hot water
The hot water may run out if several showers are taken one after the other. The boiler needs a few hours to reheat new water. Keep shower times short to ensure there's enough for everyone.
Drying cabinet
Do not overfill the drying cabinet and keep the temperature below 40 degrees. If it stops working, the overheating protection might have been activated. To reset, turn both dials back to 0 and wait five minutes, or press the red button in the ceiling.
Heating
Controlled via radiators or a main thermostat in the living area. Raise to around 21 degrees if it's cold, and lower to 15 degrees if it's warm. In cabins without a thermostat, adjust the heat directly on the radiators. If there are any issues, contact reception. Leave the heat at around 20 degrees upon departure.
Sauna
Most apartments have a sauna. One dial controls the temperature, the other the start time and duration. Setting 1–3 starts the sauna immediately and you choose the time. Setting 3–9 is a timer that heats up after the number of hours you’ve set. If the heater gets too hot, it will shut off automatically.
Fireplace
Many apartments have a fireplace. Open the damper before lighting and keep the doors closed during burning. If there's smoke inside, close the kitchen fan or briefly open the front door. When the fire has completely extinguished, close the damper. Upon departure, dispose of cold ashes in the general waste.
The car during your stay
Parking
Please park in the designated spaces for your lodging. Roads must be kept clear for snowploughs and emergency vehicles. If you have more cars than spaces, please park at Älvspåret, opposite Kläppentorget.
Electric car charging
Some apartments have their own charging posts and are intended only for guests of the lodging. Your booking confirmation will show if you have a charging post. Payment is made via an app or other payment methods, and no compensation is available for operational disruptions. If there is no charging post, you can charge at our stations at Tranantorget or the parking at Älvspåret. Charging in regular sockets or engine heater sockets is not permitted. A breach will incur a fee of 3,500 kronor and could result in the termination of the rental agreement.
In case of fire

Only attempt to extinguish the fire if it is safe to do so. There is a fire extinguisher and fire blanket in the apartment.
- If you cannot extinguish the fire, leave the building and close doors and windows behind you.
- Call 112 for the emergency services, even if the evacuation alarm is sounding. Then contact the reception or the emergency service on +46 (0)280 962 00 or +46 (0)280 962 15.

Departure
Digital checklist before departure
In your lodging there is a QR code to our digital cleaning checklist. Scan the code, fill in the form and upload pictures before you head home. If the checklist is not submitted, an inspection fee of at least 1,500 SEK will be charged. If the cleaning is not approved, a minimum of 2,500 SEK will be charged. If you have purchased departure cleaning, indicate this in the form. Start the dishwasher and dispose of rubbish before leaving the lodging.
Checkout with code lock
On your departure day, you will receive an SMS with a link for checkout. Click the link to notify your departure and lock the door before leaving.
Checkout with keys
Lock the lodging and leave all keys in the same key cabinet as upon arrival, using the same code. Click the link in the SMS to announce your departure. In case of lost or not returned keys, a fee of at least 2,500 SEK will be charged.
