Checklist for departure cleaning

The living room and kitchen should be left in a pleasant and well-tended condition before departure. Allow the ash in the stove to cool in the ash bucket and clean the glass doors gently, without a vacuum cleaner. Ensure all dishes are clean and put back in their place and dispose of household waste at our waste stations. Go through the dishwasher and check the filter so that everything is fresh. Clean the fridge and freezer, leave them on, and close the doors properly. Wipe down the stove, oven, fan, sink, and any pull-out chopping board, as well as the coffee maker and microwave. Wipe cupboards and drawers, freshen up fronts, shake out rugs, and dust surfaces and lamps. Clean windows if necessary and finish by wiping tables and chairs and vacuuming the sofa, including under the cushions, so the lodging feels inviting for the next guest.

Shake duvets and pillows outside. Then fold the duvets and place them at the foot of the beds. If you have rented a linen set, place it together with the towels in the hallway. Dust shelves, cupboards, bedside tables and bed frames, and wipe out the wardrobes so that the room is left inviting and well cared for for the next guest.

Polish the mirror and tap. Clean the washbasin inside and underneath, and wipe down the surrounding walls. Check that the drain flows as it should. Clean the shower walls, floor drains, taps and pipes so that everything is left clean and well-maintained. The toilet should be cleaned both inside and out, including the walls and pipes behind it. Finish by wet mopping the floor, including in the sauna if there is one.

Please ensure the heating is on and that the patio or balcony is free from debris. Dispose of all waste before departure. Check that the balcony and patio doors are locked and that the windows are closed. Straighten curtains, cloths, rugs, chairs, and tables to create a welcoming feel. Lock the front door when you leave and drive home safely.

In the cleaning cupboard, you will find everything you need to prepare the lodging for departure. Here you'll find a vacuum cleaner with an extra bag, a dustpan and brush, a mop handle and bucket, as well as cloths, disposable mop yarns and cleaning agents for both general cleaning and sanitary surfaces. A Scotch Brite sponge is also available for bathroom cleaning and can be disposed of afterwards. If anything is missing or if you need help, you are always welcome to contact us.

Our cleaning equipment and products are intended to make the departure cleaning as smooth as possible. The white cloths can be used several times and can be placed in the compost when they have served their purpose. The all-purpose cleaner works well on most surfaces, even windows and mirrors. The green disposable mop yarns should be thrown in general waste, while traditional mops, found in some lodgings, are to be cleaned and not thrown away. In the bathroom, use the sanitary cleaner along with the disposable cloth and Scotch Brite sponge. Should the vacuum cleaner bag be full, there is a spare one available. Feel free to change it and throw the used bag in general waste.
