Rip Off Session - by Sven Thorgren
During the Spring Sessions, Rip Off Session is back and an integral part of the event. Created and led by Sven Thorgren, one of the world's very best snowboarders. After the success of 2024, we are taking it further this year with a bigger setup, more riders, and an even better atmosphere in the park.
Rip Off Session – world-class snowboarding
Rip Off Session is a unique snowboarding event where some of the world's top riders gather at Kläppen for a weekend filled with creative riding, audience-friendly sessions, and relaxed park hangouts. The focus is on snowboarding, but everyone is welcome, regardless of whether you're riding yourself or cheering from the side.
The world's best snowboarders
On Friday, 17 April, the weekend kicks off in Kläppen Snowpark, and over the weekend, 20–30 of the world's best snowboarders come together for top-level riding.
Watch as some of the world's best riders compete in the Rip Off Session. The competition consists of three parts: Best Style, Best Trick, and Highest Air. Each segment lasts 20 minutes. A total of 250,000 SEK will be awarded to the winners.
Expect a vibrant atmosphere in the park, an incredible show, spectacular tricks, and an evening rounded off with lights, music, and fireworks.
Snowboard test with Salomon
Try different boards and truly feel the difference. Talk to knowledgeable staff and switch models whenever you like to find your favourite.
Lip Off Session
A banked slalom competition taking place at and in the halfpipe. Lip Off Session is a new addition and part of the Rip Off Session by Sven Thorgren.

19.00–21.30 Rip Off Session by Sven Thorgren.
20.40 Band DOKA playing between Best Trick and Highest Air.
22.00–02.00 Prize ceremony and live performance by Cleo on the outdoor stage outside Halster. The evening continues inside Restaurang Halster with a DJ.
Saturday
11.00–18.00 Spring Sessions - Kläppen's largest park event.
Snowboard test with Salomon and mini-snowboard test with Nitro
11.30–14.30 Lunch at Restaurang Halster.
12.00-16.00 Parkgrill, Kläppen Restaurants serving burgers, sausages and other delicious treats.
Lip Off Session
12.00–15.00 Banked slalom competition at and in the halfpipe.

Drop-in registration on site. Maximum two runs per person. No training.

Sven Thorgren
Sven Thorgren is Kläppen's ambassador and one of Sweden's top snowboarders. He lives in Lima, near Kläppen. Sven has won several medals at the X Games and competed in the Olympics in 2018 and 2022. With his drive and passion for snowboarding, he inspires snowboarders around the world. Sven organises Rip Off Session, one of the world's largest snowboarding events, inspired by his favourite competition, Oxborn Session.
