Kläppen 90 km – this winter's biggest challenge
Are you ready for the most impressive feat of the season? During week 9, we invite you to Kläppen 90 km, an evening race offering determination, joy, camaraderie and a unique chance to tackle a full 90 kilometres downhill.
Like Vasaloppet – but just downhill
Kläppen 90 km, here you'll find 32 laps on the three-kilometre long, illuminated green slope Lämmeltåget. It's quite a challenge, but also something you won't forget in a hurry.
Skiers and snowboarders compete side by side in the evening darkness while the gondola takes you up between each run, offering you the chance to rest your legs, recharge, and enjoy the view over the snow-clad Kläppen mountain.
Vasaloppet is a proud sponsor and treats competitors to traditional wheat buns and warm blueberry soup.
How Kläppen 90 km Works
START
All participants gather at the Gondol Sälen valley station where a meeting is held at 18:30. Afterwards, start groups are formed, and the first group sets off at 19:00.
Each participant receives a personal chip that records both laps and time. The time is only measured downhill and is automatically paused in the gondola.
FINISH
The finish area is located at the gondola's valley station. There awaits a well-deserved medal. The ribbon is drawn at 02:00.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in both the men's and women's categories. Fastest lap in both the women's and men's categories
