Trolle & Trolla

Meet Trolle and Trolla at Kläppen

Deep in the forests of Kläppenberget, two troll siblings grew up. Trolle and Trolla have lived on the mountain for many, many years and know its secrets better than anyone else.

Their story began over a thousand years ago, when their troll ancestors discovered a new home among the forests of Kläppenberget.

Trolle loves old stories and remembering life long ago, while Trolla is curious and always looking for her next adventure. Today, they live at Trollgården, right next to the children's ski area at Kläppen, and love meeting all the children who come to visit. And who knows what funny stories and secrets they might share? Because if there's one thing Trolle and Trolla love, it's talking. A lot!

Trolle, the thoughtful one

Trolle is a kind troll who loves old stories and life on Kläppenberget. Trolle likes everything to be in order, but with an adventurous sister like Trolla, things don't always go according to plan. He's also very curious about human children and can't understand why they eat such strange things when there's so much delicious mushroom growing in the forest!

Trolla, the curious one

Trolla is a playful and adventurous troll who loves discovering new things. She's full of ideas and often takes Trolle along on adventures that sometimes turn out a little differently than expected. Trolla loves asking questions, making new friends and learning things she never knew before.

When Trolle and Trolla meet the children

There's something very special about what happens when trolls meet human children. Even though Trolle and Trolla have lived on Kläppenberget for many, many years, there's still so much they don't understand about humans. And during the winter season, they finally get the chance to ask all their questions!

Why do human children eat such strange things when there's so much delicious mushroom in the forest? Why are they so tiny? Haven't they finished growing yet? And why do they wear so many clothes?

The questions never seem to end. Trolle likes to take his time thinking about the answers, while Trolla has already come up with three more questions. They find human children both funny and rather peculiar. And the children usually think exactly the same about the trolls!

But what makes Trolle and Trolla truly special is the way they welcome every child. They notice the ones who run straight up for a big hug, but also those who stand a little further away, watching quietly. Some children have lots to say, while others prefer to listen. And some might just want to give a little wave from a distance. That's perfectly fine too.

Every meeting matters to Trolle and Trolla. They want every child to feel seen and included, whether it's through a long conversation, a shared laugh or simply a little wave.

So when you meet Trolle and Trolla at Kläppen, be ready for silly questions, curious thoughts and perhaps a troll story or two. And don't be afraid to ask them questions in return! Because even though the trolls know almost all the secrets of Kläppenberget, they still have plenty to learn about the human children who come to visit.
