Canoeing, SUP and rowing are now closed for the season. Here you can read more about our activities on the Västerdalälven river and start planning next summer’s adventures at Kläppen.
Gliding along the calm river gives a wonderful sense of freedom. There's plenty of space for both leisurely paddling and small breaks along the way. You can choose to paddle upstream or about two kilometres south to a small sandbank, which is a perfect spot for a swim or a rest in the sun.

Each canoe has space for three people. When you rent a canoe, you start from Kläppens Camping. Life jackets are included and can be collected at the campsite reception. Please return the canoe at least one hour before closing.

We rent out two different models of SUP (Stand Up Paddle), one hard and one inflatable. Both are stable and easy to manoeuvre. When you rent a SUP, your starting point is Kläppens Camping. A life jacket is included and can be collected at the camping reception. Please return your board at least an hour before closing.

When you hire a rowing boat, you start from Kläppens Camping. A life jacket is included and can be collected from the reception at Kläppens Camping. Please return the boat at least one hour before closing.
A life jacket is mandatory and always included when you rent a canoe, SUP or rowboat. To secure your preferred day and time, we recommend booking in advance. All equipment is rented at your own risk and the age limit to rent a canoe is 16 years.
