Wasa fjällgård
In the northern outskirts of Sälen you will find the cozy restaurant Wasa Fjällgård. Here, a good homemade lunch is served that can be eaten inside, or out in the yard when it is nice weather. If you would rather have a light snack, there is also a café menu that consists of sandwiches, cakes and much more. On Fridays and Saturdays an à la carte menu is served in the evenings. Olnispagården
On the west side of Sälen is the town’s own village yard called Olnispagården. For those interested in culture, preserved furniture, handicrafts, textiles and literature that dates back to the 16th century farmers' society can be seen here. During all major celebrations, it is here that the inhabitants of the district come to celebrate together, according to tradition.

The farm also has a cozy country café with homemade coffee that is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during week 26-32. More info can be found here >>

Bullans - Sälen's bakery & pastry shop
In the middle of Sälen you will find café Bullans. Perhaps it doesn't have that genuine rural touch, but it is a much-appreciated café that has been in Sälen for over 20 years. Many of the locals go there to socialize and meet over a good cup of coffee. Bullans has a large selection of both buns, cakes and pastries and if you want something more filling, there are also sandwiches, soups, salads as well as wood oven baked pizza. Olarsgården - Restaurant Elgen
Just after Sälfjällstorget, up on Sälenfjället, a road turns right to the small family hotel Olarsgården. With Sälen's rich history built into the walls, it is a nice and genuine place to visit and eat a bite of food for either lunch or dinner. The food is inspired by ingredients from the countryside and the mountains. You will find the current menu and opening hours here >>
